Who’s behind the camera?
Ellegood Photography has been serving families, seniors, and professionals across Zionsville, Carmel, and Westfield, Indiana for four years — but the camera has been in Jon's hands for much longer than that. By day, Jon serves as Director of Communications for a local church, where photography is part of his daily work: capturing events, telling stories visually, and communicating with clarity. That professional background isn't a footnote — it's the foundation of everything he brings to a session.
Why it feels different.
Most people come into a photo session a little tense. They're not sure where to stand, what to do with their hands, or whether the kids will cooperate. Jon has spent years figuring out how to make that go away. His sessions are low-pressure by design — no rushed timelines, no stiff posing, no manufactured moments. Just an environment where real people can relax and let the photos happen naturally.
That instinct comes from somewhere real. Jon has been married to his college sweetheart Jenny for 20 years. Together they're raising three kids, homeschooling, exploring Indiana's parks, and living the kind of ordinary family life that makes extraordinary photos. He understands what it means to want your family captured honestly — because he wants that too.
